This page lists all player-created hotbar (HB) and cross-hotbar (XHB) layout guides and keybindings for the Scholar Class/Job in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail.
New LayoutIn an age long past, when mankind flourished under the radiance of arcane mastery, the island of Vylbrand was home to a city-state called Nym. Though the history of that age tells of countless wars waged with earth-shattering incantations, it was the brilliant strategic maneuvering of Nym’s scholars that allowed their mundane army of mariners to throw back would-be conquerers time and again. These learned men and women defended the freedom of their tiny nation with their unique command over spell-weaving faeries, utilizing the creatures’ magicks to heal the wounded and bolster the strength of their allies.
SCH 7.0
I show Cross Hotbar 3 (Left) with both of the expanded trigger controls, so you can easily add in another 8 actions if you prefer, I use XHB 8 as a shared bar between all classes for traversal and general actions outside of combat. Role actions are consistent among my layouts, and so are general actions.
Da'momo's Scholar
I created my chotbars to be comfortable, practical, and aesthetic. Nearly all same/similar skills are in the same position across all jobs/roles while allowing for as little finger gymnastics as possible.
My XHB is split between chotbars 2(left) and 7(right)
2 is unique to each job while 7 is shared. Emote icons are (duh) my favorite emotesa and the magnifying glass is my job changer.

My goal is to normalize same/similar skill positions across all of my jobs for consistency and muscle memory. While also trying group skills in a thematically and aesthetically pleasing way.

Current WIP for updated hotbars in 7.0, focusing on minimising swapping hotbars in combat and keeping visual clarity on relevant buff cooldowns and maximising consistency across all jobs. Bar 1 is for single target, and Bar 2 for AoE.
The Glamour Plate button is being used in place of the newly added skill as needed, and the dye represents potion. Sprint and LB are macroed to L3/R3 respectively.
Radulf Rushe SCH 100
Waiting for the new action images to get added in to fully get this good
Make sure to change Double tap L2 to "Cross Hotbar 4 - Left" and Double tap R2 to "Cross Hotbar 4 - Right"
90 -> 100 changes:
- Baneful Impaction: Action Change off Chain Strategem (might try to match it up to WHM by putting it on L2-L2 Right)
- Concitation: upgrade to Succor (no change needed)
- Seraphism: new action, 180s cooldown for big heals (putting on LT Up to match Liturgy of the Bell on WHM) [PLACEHOLDER: 1]

Lv90 SCH Controller Layout
Ally-targeted abilities are placed on the D-pad because you will already be using the D-pad to scroll through the party list and select your target. Most GCDs, untargeted buffs/heals, and mobility tools are placed on the face buttons so they are easy to access while moving.
Core damage actions are placed on the RT and RT>LT bars, including Aetherflow and Dissipation. Lossless faerie heals are placed on the RT and RT>LT bars since they should be prioritized over "lossy" Aetherflow and GCD heals. The LT and LT>RT bars mostly consist of lossy healing actions and related abilities.
This creates a clear mental divide. If you can reach it without releasing RT, it's lossless healing. When you need to dip into lossy healing options, you release RT and swap to the LT bars.
Infrequently used actions are placed on the LT, LT bar. Deployment Tactics is an important ability, but its use is inherently premeditated, so it's not an issue for it to be a little out of the way.

The potion icon on the RT>LT bar is for Tinctures of Mind.

The healer role macro icon on the LT, LT bar is for Super-Ethers.

The chat bubble macro icon on the LT>RT bar is for a party chat macro that you can press alongside Resurrection to announce who you're raising. It's not combined into a Resurrection macro because abilities used through macros are less responsive, as they do not use the skill queueing system.

Noko Steamdeck Scholar
How I set up my crossbars as a scholar on steamdeck (Currently level ~65)
I try to play every classes/jobs, thus I tend to reuse same slots for same "functionality" across jobs.

Kreeger's Scholar
The XHB setup I use for my Scholar. 1-3 are unique to SCH, all else are shared between all jobs. XHB4's LT->RT pane is a selection of emotes. XHB7 is my job selector.
