New LayoutThe Hrothgar of northern Ilsabard have passed the art of the gunblade from one generation to the next. The weapon itself combines a sword with a firing mechanism, emitting a range of magical effects by utilizing aetherically imbued cartridges. Originally employed by Queen Gunnhildr’s personal guard, they were once known as “Gunnhildr’s Blades” and differ greatly from the similarly named weapons used in the Garlean Empire.

All jobs will follow a similar pattern to make job transitioning simple and not so overwhelming
Hot bar 1 - All single target and buff abilities
Hot bar 2 (SHIFT) - All AOE abilities plus some role skills that I find are more important to have access to as shift is easier for me to access
Hot bar 3 (CTRL) - All tank mitigation abilities
Personal MMO Mouse GNB
This was my first tank job that I actually worked on, and paved the way for all my other tank jobs to use a similar setup.
Hotbar 1: On top there's the 1-2-3 combo. Along the right side down, there's the oGCD, and AoE oGCD. Second line is the AoE 1-2 combo. 3rd row is the ranged action and gap closer. Last, there's the two burst window related actions - the hit-harder button, and the free cartridges button. And the sprint has always been there for all the jobs. Sprout carryover.
Hotbar 2 (ctrl): Top rows, tank-specific DPS zone. Then Rampart and Reprisal are where they are for all my tank jobs. The rest of the 3rd row is for the job specific mitigations. Last row generally begins with a heal, a quick-recharge mitigation button, and a team mitigation.
Hotbar 3 (shift): This becomes the template to be used for all my tank hotbars. Fillers in empty spaces include emotes, mounts, food/potions.
GNB 7.0
I show Cross Hotbar 3 (Left) with both of the expanded trigger controls, so you can easily add in another 8 actions if you prefer, I use XHB 8 as a shared bar between all classes for traversal and general actions outside of combat. Role actions are consistent among my layouts, and so are general actions. The macro icon is a placeholder for a Tincture/Gemdraught.

GNB 7.0
Current WIP for updated hotbars in 7.0, focusing on minimising swapping hotbars in combat and keeping visual clarity on relevant buff cooldowns and maximising consistency across all jobs. Bar 1 is for single target, and Bar 2 for AoE.
The Glamour Plate button is being used in place of the newly added skill as needed, and the dye represents potion. Sprint and LB are macroed to L3/R3 respectively.

Make sure to change Double tap L2 to "Cross Hotbar 4 - Left" and Double tap R2 to "Cross Hotbar 4 - Right"
90 -> 100 changes:
- Sonic Break: is now an Action Change from No Mercy (so button is removed)
- Grand Nebula: upgrade to Nebula (no change needed)
- Fated Brand: conditional Action Change from Continuation (no change needed but may be desired)
- Reign of Beasts: new action [PLACEHOLDER: 1]

How I set up my crossbars as a gunbreaker on steamdeck (Currently level ~65)
I try to play every classes/jobs, thus I tend to reuse same slots for same "functionality" across jobs.
