1 - Easy general fishing

Here is to make it easy to do general fishing.

2 - Buffs and macros

I have /sit on [1] and Cordials on the far left macros.

3 - Spearfishing

Everything else is for spearfishing

I am currently lvl 45 fisher, and this is the layout I use. I will update as I lvl up.

Custom Slots

Cast/Hook Macro

This macro lets you trigger "Cast" and "Hook" from the same button, saving a slot for another action.

Now that I've actually tried controller fishing for a bit, this is how it's sorted.

XHB1 RT/RH: Actions here are grouped together for simple line fishing that does not involve mooching.

XHB1 RT/LH: Patience is put here for its quick access to cast line immediately after. I haven't found myself needing to use double/triple hook yet, so this might be moved later on?

XHB1 LT/LH: The hookset and mooch actions are moved here to allow one-handed gameplay due to how often these are used.

XHB1 LT/RH: Things I don't use too often.

The WXHBs are things like toggles, things used in between fishing sessions, things not used that often. 1/2 are placeholders for cordials, 3 for food. Cordials may be moved to XHB1, most likely swapping places with double/triple hook, since I feel like I'd have to really intend and plan to use those.

For XHB3, that's spear fishing. No need to have quick access to it. Just swap hotbars if I'm going spearfishing lol.

Full Fisher WXHB I ran out of space to add other gatherer skills, but this is easy use for spear fishing on the 1LT and general fishing on all the other XHBs.

All are FSH specific. Extra bait stays in Saddlebag. Tried to keep things grouped functionally. Untested so far, purely hypothetical.

5-year KB+M player gets Steam Deck, is forced to learn controller. regular fishing is heavily prioritized over spearfishing.

The XHB setup I use for my Fisher. 1-3 are unique to FSH, all else are shared between all jobs. XHB4's LT->RT pane is a selection of emotes. XHB7 is my job selector.
