5-year KB+M player gets Steam Deck, is forced to learn controller. I mostly macro craft, so in reality my WXHB has been entirely replaced by macros as I find I use the actions up there less.

Just something for controller from a pc

I only really started taking the layout seriously after DT released.

This setup omits collectable items. I find it's more of a necessity on controller/XHB, so it'll be on that.

Hotbar 1: Actions that I would actually use. The first row becomes obsolete once you hit certain stats but I just like keeping it there.

Hotbar 2: Actions that I don't see myself using, or that I haven't looked up when a good time is to use them. The exception is the switch to MIN/BTN.

Hotbar 3: Toggles that are normally useless but are needed in case you misclick your buffs. The 0 is the placeholder for a mount. If using mount roulette, use favourites that don't include mounts that replace the first hotbar if you have it set like that.

Teleport, return, and materia extraction are on my shared hotbar 4.
